What is the minimum age to live here?
Residents must be at least 62 years old. There is no maximum age, as long as individuals are able to live independently.
Is this an assisted living facility?
No. However, residents are welcome to hire private aides if they need support while aging in place.
What happens if there’s a medical emergency?
Each residence includes an emergency call system.
Is there a nurse on-site?
No. While there is no on-site nursing staff, residents have the option to independently arrange and privately pay for Home Health services if desired.
Are meals included?
Yes. One meal per day is provided in the dining room.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Small dogs and cats are welcome. A $300 pet deposit is required.
Is smoking allowed on the property?
No. For the health and comfort of all residents, smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus.
Can I give gifts to staff members?
Personal gifts to staff are not allowed. If you’d like to show appreciation, donations can be made through the River Garden Foundation.
