Auxiliary

As an independent nonprofit organization, the River Garden Auxiliary supports River Garden through philanthropy, volunteerism and community involvement. Founded in 1922 as the Ladies’ Hebrew Sheltering Aid Society, the Auxiliary provides funding and support for programs, services and resident needs that strengthen the River Garden community. Inspired by “Honor thy father and thy mother,” Auxiliary members work to enhance the quality of life for River Garden residents.

Funds raised through the River Garden Gift Shop, Donor Luncheon, Tombola and other special events directly benefit the Home. The Auxiliary also sponsors resident holiday celebrations and programs.
