These student volunteers aren’t just filling hours for a school requirement—they’re forming friendships that span decades. Whether it’s playing board games, teaching a senior how to use a smartphone, or simply sitting and listening to stories from the past, teens are gaining wisdom, empathy and perspective that textbooks can’t offer. What they’re discovering is more than community service—it’s a life-changing, intergenerational bond that benefits everyone involved.
